Daniel Porris
P/R Captain Daniel Porris came to Florida State University in the Fall of 2005 where he is currently seeking a double major in Middle Eastern Studies and International Affairs. It was in the following semester that P/R CPT Porris decided to become more active on the FSU campus and decided to take his life in a new direction. In the Spring of 2006 he joined Army ROTC and the Seminole Battalion, shortly after joining ROTC he took his life one step further when he pledged the National Society of Pershing Rifles.
P/R CPT Porris established himself as a leader in Company M-16 from his inception. Under his leadership he acted as Ace of his pledge class, pledge trainer, S-3, Company M-16 commander, and now the G-4 of the National Society. As a cadet in the Seminole Battalion P/R CPT Porris graduated Airborne school in the Summer of 2007 and served as his battalion’s Sergeant Major in the Fall of 2007.
P/R CPT Porris is on track to graduate in the Spring of 2009 and receive his commission as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army. Until then he will be serving the National Society of Pershing Rifles as the G-4, so do not hesitate to contact him with any questions or suggestions.
