NATHAN JURGENS
Pershing Rifles Second Lieutenant Nathan Jurgens is a second-year Navy ROTC midshipman currently enrolled at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, the home of Company A-2 “Pershing’s Own,” and the Headquarters of the National Society of Pershing Rifles.
Following his fall of 2008 pledge semester, he was assign to the position of Company Finance, and received a promotion to the rank of P/R Petty Officer Second Class. At exactly one week after the following spring pledge class the company started to accept requests for positions. Before he could put in for another company position he was recommended for a position on National Staff as Operations.
P/R 2LT Jurgens, hometown of Papillion, Nebraska, is a graduate of Papillion-La Vista South High School. A student in the college of business administration and majoring in business management, his time is filled by academics, extracurricular activities, and the NROTC program. He is on track to graduate and receiving a commission in the US Navy in 2012.
