Pershing Rifles Colonel Durrell D. Williams is a second-year Rifleman and charter member of Company G-17 at Grambling State University, earning his cord in the Spring of 2008. He first served in the capacity of Company Commander (2008-2009), leading his company towards earning the Most Improved Company Award at the 2009 NATCON, and most recently served as company Operations Officer and 17th Deputy Regimental Commander before being appointed Assistant Deputy National Commander at the 2009 FCC.

         P/R COL Williams hails from Springhill, Louisiana. Along with serving in the Louisiana Army National Guard since 2002, he is a third year Army ROTC Tiger Battalion cadet majoring in political science with a minor in military science. He plans on graduating magna cum laude and commissioning into the National Guard in 2012, branching either Infantry or Armor.
